Replacement of New Control Cable for PH Navy Yamaha OBM Service Boat


The clutch and throttle cable is unresponsive when engaging the control lever. We found out that there is a part of the cable that is totally worn out due to excessive bending. Control cables have limited bending capacity to maximize its performance. Proper installation and position the cable may prevent any future damage to the cable.

Our company make sure that the cable we use are either OEM or at least quality and branded. We also outsource the cable based on your unit and engine’s specification.

Control Cable Replacement for 2 Main Engines


Ship’s control cable design is simple and yet need time to install. We replaced their old, defective and rusted morse cable (red) with new Multiflex Edge control cable (blue) which is more efficient and has better performance. This cable is made to order since we need a straight 65ft for each cable. The ship’s existing morse cable is a combined 30ft cable which is connected by both end thread to meet the 60ft length requirement. That is one of the main reason why their cable deteriorates fast and loose it’s performance.

– Dock trial and Sea trial successful with approval and satisfactory from ship’s Engineering Officer and Commanding Officer.
